Diane N. Rosenberg
Diane began her career at Deloitte & Touche’s Financial Services Group performing tax writing and research, and reviewing and preparing complex tax returns for large foreign banks doing business in the US, multi-tiered investment partnership structures, broker-dealers and other assorted financial service businesses. After Deloitte, Diane worked for a leading northern New Jersey firm, where she handled tax reporting for a major New Jersey real estate developer/manager, an industrial manufacturer, multiple closely-held business and high-net-worth individuals. Later, Diane served as Tax Manager for Donna Karan’s US activities. Diane parlayed her diverse tax experience into the estate planning and administration field, serving as estate administrator and tax counsel to a complex estate, and developing systems for managing the New York estate administration process. Diane now serves the firm’s clients with respect to the US, New York and New Jersey, tax, trust and estate aspects of multi-national, multistate and local matters. Diane’s experience in counseling a diverse client base on tax matters allows her to guide clients through varied business transactions, emphasizing the need for strong, thoroughly-considered and well-rounded planning when entering into real estate and business agreements.
Diane received her B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1997, where she was the recipient of the Nathan Schmukler Scholarship for Excellence in Accounting and the Senator Byrd Scholarship, was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and served as a Vice President of Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. Diane earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2001. While at Brooklyn Law, she was the recipient of the New York State Bar Association Law Student Legal Ethics Award, and an Honorable Mention in Brooklyn Law’s First Year Legal Writing Competition. Diane served pro bono clients through the Brooklyn Law School Corporate – Real Estate Clinic, and interned with the Federal Trade Commission and the General Counsel’s Office of the UJA Federation of New York. The IRS granted Diane a special enrollment to practice before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent in 2004. Diane is admitted to practice law in the New York and New Jersey state courts, the Federal District Court of New Jersey and the United States Tax Court.
